Mesh Pop Up Laundry Basket - Random Color
- I have an old red pop up mesh basket that the cats have been in, scratched, poked holes and generally messed with but so far it is still in one piece and usable. I have a laundry sorter upstairs but it helps to have this as I separate clothes and the mesh ones make it easy to go up and down the stairs with loads.

Wire Can Dispenser for Cat Food - Bought 2! Currently, I have the cans just sitting on top of a ramen box. Nate and I are looking for a pantry cabinet we can add to the kitchen. We need more space. I can at least put the cat food on the counter so it'll be neater instead of on top of a box on the floor.

That's all for this week!

EDIT: 03/03/2011

I did not get the mesh bag. Something happened with the original shipping and the package became undeliverable. Amazon had to re-send my order but with the wire can dispenser only.

Just a couple of purchases this time around. I got a couple of things for our cats and a box set for me.

Cat Comb - Dual-sided! My sister bought some sort of brush for the cats but it doesn't really comb well. So I got a better one. I am especially hoping it can handle Marley since she has thick fluffy hair.
The pin side to untangle and the brush side to smooth and groom their fur.

Da Bird - Best cat toy ever. I also had to get a replacement of their ultimate favorite toy. Da Bird. My cats go crazy over this toy. So much I have to hide it in my closet. If they happen to see it they try to sneak in and grab and run off. Because of sheer use it wore out. I bought the extra attachments but so far they haven't destroyed that but the wand has broken off at the end and the string came off.

It's fun to watch them when they are playing. Dhani loves to just jump and attack while Nodame likes to stalk the feathers and pounce. Marley likes to sit straight up and swat it repeatedly and Pickles likes to catch it in his mouth and hold it and growl when I try to take it from him.

Treeson Series 2 Case - Seven plus a hard to find mystery figure. Last but not least is a case of Treeson and Friends Series 2. I love how Crazy Label does their ratios. You don't have to buy a blind box over and over again. You get all of the figures and a chance for the rare figure or a double of a regular one. I am hoping my case will have the rare figure.

Two years ago I bought what I thought was a basic Singer sewing machine. It was far too complicated for a total sewing noob like me. My mom who sews was able to use it but then we lost a part of the machine and now we can't use it.

I still want to learn how to sew so I researched a bit more thoroughly and picked a machine that had almost all good ratings and raved by both amateur and experienced and is simpler and better suited for a beginner. Plus it's awesomely cute too!

Janome Compact Hello Kitty Sewing Machine - Green version.

It's arriving tomorrow via UPS. I also have a basic curtain making book with ultra beginner projects. I hope I can use this a lot better than the previous one I bought.

Gargamel Lucky Bag 2011 - Our Bag

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Nate's fast fingers secured us our Gargamel Lucky Bag this year. They sold under a minute as I recall. Since we were going up North to visit his family for his birthday we opted for the pick up in-store option.

When people started getting their bags we were getting anxious about ours. Maybe we should have had it shipped. I was still recovering from being sick when we set off for up North.

When we got there it was already around 5 PM. Not a really a good time to venture into the city. So we headed straight to Nate's parents for some much needed rest.

When Nate and his brothers get together it's usually a night of gaming and movie watching. We saw Inception for the first time and we really enjoyed it. We were up until 4 AM. XD

The next day, we got up later than we intended. We got to the city around 3 PM. It was our first time visiting S7 in its new location. I definitely remember the area was not parking friendly. The new location seems the same size as the old one. Nate said he recalls that it might be the store front next to TRU. He was correct.

We got our stuff and since we waited so long we decided to open it when we got back to the house. It was family time. We walked around for a bit and headed off for dinner in Chinatown! We had a great dinner, great family news and we topped it off with some crepes.

We headed home to watch Inception again. LOL Actually we watched a whole bunch of movies. I got to play with an IPad, (I want one now), and we finally opened our bag.

Nate was pulling out figures we've seen before. We wanted the Crouching Hawaii Deathra, which we got. We were like OK we'll end up with either a Zag or a Deathra. Nate saved the big figure for last and when he pulled it out, we looked at it, looked at each other, looked at it again and went, "AHHHHH! OMG!" See below:

Gargamel Lucky Bag 2011 Clear Gold Glitter Mibora

Grgamel Lucky Bag 2011

This was our bag this year. I've only seen another pull a Mibora this year and it was Daniel and he got an awesome clear reddish pink one.

We're very happy with our bag and hope that this good luck will last us the year. It's a great way to start it that's for sure.

Part of our New Year's goals this year is to spend less on toys and concentrate on items we need around the house.

Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - A much needed upgrade from my old keyboard. I am thinking of recycling my old one and bringing it to work as I have one of those stupid straight ones that give me carpal tunnel.

Full Metal Alchemist the Movie: The Conqueror of Shamballa - I haven't seen this movie. I plan to watch it once I finish watching Brotherhood.

That's it for now. I got house insurance to take care of so not much buying....actually I lied. I did buy something else this week...

Gargamel Lucky Bag 2011

Thursday, January 06, 2011

Well it's that time of year again. This is for us one of the first major purchases for the year and heralds the beginning of building our SDCC 2011 war chest. Usually, if we are fortunate enough to score a lucky bag, after this purchase, we start hard saving for July.

The teaser pic for this year's LB has some obvious figures outlined here. I can identify the following:

Standard Deathra
Standard Zag
Randall the Bear
Tokoichi Seiju
KaToPe Angel Bird

SEEN @ SB 01/07/2011
Mini Bakoba
Mini Crouching Mibora
Mini Crouching Zag
MIni Crouching Deathra

However the middle part is a bit more muddled and here's where you start guessing. Obviously there's crouchers there, maybe a pocket and I am stretching here a bit but Nate agrees, a possible Killer right in between Randall and Tokoichi. The bottom half there's something there.

So far no pictures coming out of Japan, even though these bags sold there earlier. The anticipation is so high that you can cut it with a knife. I kind of enjoy this part although I don't know if I have the strength to stay away from spoiler threads.

Can't wait to see what these bags will hold! I just wish a Tetran or Beralgon somehow managed to get into this year's bag but that might be unlikely.

Oh, first post of the year! ^_____^
