Unwelcome Guest - Insomnia

The house is very quiet. I can hear the occasional muffled sound of  a car passing by. Nate is obsessively re-arranging his Springfield layout and the cats have all settled down.

I am wide awake.

I find it difficult to unwind my brain to prepare for sleep. My husband and I are both night owls. The mind is willing to stay up but my body is basically saying, "Fuck you I am going to sleep mode."

When I finally do get to sleep I suddenly wake up before dawn for no reason. Only for a little bit though then I go into a deeper sleep and dream of strange and interesting things. All ruined once the alarm starts blaring.

Meh. Off to bed I go.

2012 Brings New Challenges

Nate and I have big plans this year. Hopefully, we can accomplish them. No resolutions for 2012 really. Just a determination to live well and enjoy the company of our family and friends.

Purchases of the Week I will re-start again in February. Although we've done some house stuff purchasing lately. We got our media display organized the way we want in the living room. The hallway is half-done and our bedroom is still a work in progress but we've made improvements to our toy displays.

Further details in later posts. Not quite a resolution for 2012 but I have decided to turn in earlier in the evenings to spend some time reading and resting. I'm getting older and my body is now refusing to pretend I am still in my twenties. =P
